copper, platinum, etc etc
I'm a noob ; ; what's the difference in metals? and why not use iridium spark plugs rather than other type of metal?
which has the highest concentration of spark without the risk of misfire or burnout?

Iridium burns off slower than platinum (last idk, 100k miles), platinum burns off slower than copper (last idk, 50k miles). The major issue I see with the plugs is the price and the size of the electrode. Iridium plugs cost a f***ton of money, while copper plugs cost about $2.50 a piece, and iridium electrodes are tiny as hell and are more suceptible to fouling. For the average daily driver, get platinum or iridium and you'll never have to think about plugs for about 4 years. Most high performance cars respond poorly with iridium and platinum because they foul often in those applications. Most "pro tuners" (if you can call them that) I have taked to use Copper plugs because the electrodes are larger, they are cheap as hell, and they don't foul as often.
