Once all the electrical stuff are off the plugs like plug wires and ign coils, it can't ever fire.

Edit: I have print screen of the CR from my service manual off the 1.8L in Word DOC format.

Don't know what happened. Cleaned it up though. Shouldn't be a problem now.

well there was this discussion in class (fuel injection class) that the teacher said there was a case that voltage at the fuel pump wasn't constant. turned out that the pump had a really bad ground. so yeah, check voltage at the pump and make sure that the ground for the pump is grounded right. the ground on the example in class was all rusty so voltage at the pump was 7V, which is half of what it should've been. they sanded all the rust off and everything was gravy again.
