I've been trying to find that out myself. So far other than doing a chip or getting stand alone/piggy back you can't do it. Sorry but i've gotten nowhere on this subject.

headers, exhaust, test pipe, throttle body, 1.8 in lowered, short shift, I've hit 135-140 or so on thje way to cali on the 10, on a long but not steep hill. With z rated tires, and the springs it handles like a dream

I can't seem to get past 127 mph no matter how hard I try with my stock OZ. This is downhill, foot to the floor, 5th gear.
The car seems to run up against some serious aerodynamic drag coeffefient at those speeds, or has hit the fuel cutoff. But it doesn't feel like a cutoff....
I guess RT. 295 is not the place to hit 130.

I cruised at 80 on a 4 hour trip and had no problem what so ever. This is also the fastest I have been in the car. Being a stock OZ, and the fact that I like cheap insurance, and that I have spun a car at high speeds in my younger and stupider days, I haven't had a reason to go faster.

Not to say I won't race at some point in the future. I'm just going to enjoy spending time and money on my first new car.

Back in high school, I had my nova pinned, the speedo stopped t 125 and it was still accelerating.

Also, with my other nova, I was drag racing a friend in his 280 z, some idiot pulled out in front of me, and I down shifted, and pulled a friggin 720, luckily I missed my buddies car and no one got hurt.

Lesson, don't being going to fast unless you have a really good reason.

i got to 211 km/h whats that about 126-127mph? It felt tight as anything but then my last car was a geo metro and at 120k i thought it would shake itself to bits. I cruise at 160 (100mph) on the highway and it feels great! in fact i caught a mustang gt on the highway cause he hit the gov. was he pissed!
i Also noticed he couldn't take the corners near as fast as me .

Its a safety matter, they put the govenor on there b/c of the stock tire specs.

And NeX, Horsepower = speed, torque = quickness.

I hit about 130 goin down I-95 and all of a sudden my car felt like it just died I let go of the gas and just let the car coast for like a minute till I got to about 110 and hit the gas again and the car picked back up and just went. I think that must have been cutoff. After 110-115 it did feel really light though, like it just didn't want to stay goin straight. It was fun though

Lets just say at 130 car felt great and was only at 5200RPM's. At somewhere(estimating by look) around 140 i was at 5800RPM's where i let off... but agian i'm a cheater when it comes to getting up to speeds! Gotta love the turbo!
