i cant hit over 105, ive had my 03 es since last october. i have a pretty heavy system in my car but even after that i still couldnt get over 105. i have an automatic, anyone know if something is wrong? or if its normal...im curious and just recently thought about it. thanks

car goes to 130 then chip says no you can't do that so it backs you off to 125 so it can stay constant over hills and stuff and help keep its torque up thats how it should work i have an auto so its prob a lil different but thats what happend to me and thats what mitsu says is supposed to happen

 

ive had mine up to 120ish. ive got an auto, oz, lowered... SRI, axleback exhaust. thats it.

 

I've only got up to about 100mph @ 6000rpm...oh wait, i have a 5th gear... ...jk

I've done 115mph a couple of times but usually no more than 85-90mph. I didn't notice anything wrong or loose at 115. It' seemed ok to me.

 

125mph for me stock and with my aftermarket suspention stock it gets scary though

126Mph with 2 Passengers... cold night in January en Route to Las Vegas... AEM CAI, stock tires... Fun as all hell

 

i was driving in GA, where i live, on I-85 chasing a 93 integra GS. i hit 110 and was cruising fairly smoothly weaving in and out of cars.

 

I hit just over 125 stock on flat ground on it just took a while. Of course, in Kansas, we got all the flat roads you need. I got it up to 130 with a small downhill after that.

 

Bump... way old bump. Anyone hit anything above 135-140 yet?

Yeah, 125 for me. I had 3 other people in the car too. On a private road of course.

I have to agree on all of this, My car I got up to 126, feels like I hit wind drag though, it just sat there, wouldn't go any faster. Although the steering did feel a little loose, it was a straight line, until you got some corners down the road a bit, it was on a hi-way but still scary as hell when you see the road start to curve. I don't think the stock lancer will go any faster than 126. But then again I've only tested it 3 times w/ no luck. and that was before I put any mods on it, I will have to try it again and see.

 

uhh, mods, isn't this the kind of thread that shouldn't be here? Since street racing is very very frowned upon, and that is essentially what this thread is doing, bragging about how fast they illegally went?

 

why? i just read the whole thread. they're not bragging. some people are just interested in what top mph is. i'll admit though going that fast is dangerous. so yeah maybe you're right.
