you have to jack up the motor after removing the side motor mount and the timing belt cover. after all is said and done it's not too bad once you get down to the nitty gritty. there are marks for where your top dead zero is, you just have to look close. it helps to have a second person standing over you watching the cam gear so they can tell you when they are aligned. you may have to crank for a little bit before you get it aligned right.
as long as you get the motor set to top dead zero before putting the new belt on you should be okay. here's a little more info:
