It's why you always build up your FUEL SYSTEM when you want to boost your engine. You could run higher boost safely if you were to richen the mix accordingly.

Raised fuel pressure and/or larger injectors are good places to start.

If Rock is around I'd like to get an confirmation that roadrace does not recomend synthetic oil and an explenation why . To me (and quite a few car manufacturors) synthetic oil is ideal for turbo applications. IMO its the lancers weak pistons (thin ring lands) and a lean conditions or imo even more likely senario is poor fuel (insufficiant octain) combined with a lack of intercooling needed to boost over 6 psi with out detonation that shattered the piston

check out turbosize.xls on this page and plug the numbers.. it will show that premium at over 6 psi will detonate its also a cool prog for home turbo brewers....http://home.attbi.com/~hyc/dyno/

okay...and since your are putting a turbo on the car you switch to synthetic.

well...its not really your opinion..its pretty much a fact lol. thats basically why the pistons blow. and 93 octain is fine to run over 6 psi...but you just have to get a lot of fuel in the motor so it doesn't run lean and get a nice intercooler. also any fule will start detonating in the 4G94 over 8 psi unless you decompress it. maybe 110 octain will get you to 10 psi before detonating....but i dunno.

i been reading all this about turbos . . . and i have one question. . . . can i safely add RRM's NON-intercooled turbo to my car without upgrading the pistons and engine internals? . . I'm gonna be in the market for one next year around this time and I think I will get the non-intercooled setup . . . I'm just waiting til my warranty is up . . but I certainly don't want my engine to end up looking like that . . .
