6G72TT swap in 03 lancer oz
i've been wanting to do an engine swap on my lancer to get a lot more power out of it and i've looked at the 4g63 and after reading all the topics about swapping it into a regular lancer, it seems like it isn't worth the time or money.
so i've been considering the 6G72TT. i'm just worried about if it will fit. supposedly the 6A12 fits pretty smoothly, and these are the two engines i'm considering. i've heard that the 6G72TT is pretty much the same as the 6A12...so will it fit in my car?
my lancer is a 5 speed and obviously fwd so i can't get the 6A13 because it's awd. but it seems like the 6A12 is only in automatic galants. is there a 6A12 made for a 5 speed? is there a 6G72TT made for a 5 speed?
my main question is, is there a 6G72TT or 6A12 engine that is fwd, 5 speed and will fit in my 2003 Lancer OZ?
HELP PLEASE

Okay, have you ever looked at that motor? That thing is HUGE. The intake mani + its runners alone is about the width of a G94 motor. Otherwise, look at any 3g eclipse 6 banger . . . it's a similar motor and that engine bay can swallow an Evo motor w/ EASE!
6a12 = search the net for British FTO sites.
Before anyone looking for any foreign motors, gotta ask yourself . . . do you have the time, effort, and practically to pull this venture off? If there is any no in your answer, it'll be doom from the start. Then, do you have any skills, mechanically or troubleshoot ability? If no, doomed again.

No one has done it, unless making a custom funny car setup w/ box tubing. You have to cut into the firewall, and the the engine is big enough that you have to relocate your strut towers.

This is the GTS model, which is a slight upgrade over the GT. BTW: the pic of the engine is an aftermarket turbo setup . . . does not have turbo from the factory.
Now, people, look at the motor. Does a lancer or a mirage even remotely has an engine bay that HUGE? Believe me, I have seen the motor in person at the showroom floor for a regular GTS.

I wouldn't try it with the 6G72. Go wid the 6a12, that would seem more practical. And let me know how that goes cause i was thinkin about droppin the FTO engine too.
