I couldnt find a tech forum based on electricity in our cards, so mods, put it where you please :-).


I have a simple question.

Where can I hook the postivie side to my gauge lights(aftermarket gauges) so lights will light up when i turn on my head lights?

you can tap in to the wiring for the cig lighter. do a search for boost guase install that is where I found it. the wiring will work for all guages. good luck

you will find power lighting and ground there

k, that doesnt sound half bad. I can get to the back of the cig lighter w/ out removing the center console right?

I have mine tapped into the dimmer switch on the dash cuz it was closer to my the tri gauge pillar pod. My gauges light up and activate from when i turn on the parking lights.

When its on the dimmer switch, and you turn the dimmer, are the gauge lights allso dimmed?

The wires at the switch work but if your guages are like mine they have 2 levels of light and you will not get the dimmer function unless you get the correct wires connected to make that work. Good luck
