SES Light went n what does this code mean?

SES Light went on what does this code mean?

This is the code i pulled up off my dads 2004 OZ lancer-P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)


Is this something bad and what could it be.

Not really bad, but the car might run a little sluggish until you get it fixed. Its just like it says though. You have a leak in the Evap system. Just FYI all SES lights are emissons related and wont harm the car unless its a misfire code. That can potential harm the converter or even the engine if the misfire is really bad.

O rly? hah!

small leak evap is USUALLY a loose gas cap.
