To resell them at a profit. RRM charges $389 for the header, the dealership will probably resell them for $500.

It's easy money for them, plus the big profit margin they get on any labour.

PZEV header is up and running. We are doing long term tests. Long term meaning 500-1000 miles. More to come on that soon.

haha they are wack. it would take an hour tops if it was already cooled down and all the tools were right there. and with the car being so new i think it should be okay to reuse the gaskets, i think thats what rock said and they probably took em on and off a few times for testing and such.

Header Installed

So i installed the header last night at work, sorry no pictures of the install. I have to say that i was very impressed with the quality of the header, flanges were very thick and looked excellent. The install was a bit of a pain but i worked through it. The top heat shield was the worst part and also took the longest to remove. I ended up bending it to get it out. My advice would be to start at the bottom and work your way to the engine. All together it took about an hour and a half to complete the install. Ok, now for the FEEL, the car FEELS alot better, the power band pulls harder and definatly has some pep now. Any questions please let me know and i will try to answer.
