ROAD/RACE - 4B11 Header

We have been working on a header for the new Lancer and we have a couple of running prototype now. We are playing with runner lengths but it will not be long before we go into production. We have a version that will fit both California and Federal (other 49 states). People have been asking so I thought I would post up to inform folks since we are getting close now.

lol sounds good, might save me the trouble.

Will your header be a full length? or shorty? which i know is point less question. I am developing a shorty header/CAT hybrid.

I am curious,

Cheers

If they do a full one that removes the cat, there is a good chance.

A shorty should have no Check Engine Light

Shorty caused CEL on the 4G94 Lancers. Hence my question.

headers gave me a super ***** problem on the 4th gen eclipse.

i will drasticlly wait this one out for someone else to be the giny pig and find out if they did a good job. And i would actually would like to see for once in my life. RRM post their own shop dyno of the headers before putting them up for sale. if not i will never buy something like that again without a company dyno and someone else being the giny pig I've mad plenty of mistake i look back on now cause of stuff like that. just my .02cents

If you're waiting for dyno sheets, you should shop elsewhere. RRM has never posted them (that I've seen). I doubt they ever will, especially the way folks act on EvoM.

It's also guineau, not giny.

We have posted sheets but we prefer when customers do them. THen people that hate get quiet. We will dyuno this piece for sure. We have managed to get some good CAD typ engineering into this part and am pretty confident that it will give numbers similar to our RA Header d.p. which has been dynoed up here by EVOM guys at 13 h.p. on some RAs. We are using the same approach to the design of this one so as not to lose torque or low end power.

Catback is a real waste on the 08. Plus the cat is welded into that section. Stock section fo the exhaust there us quite effecient. IT is only before and after that part of exhaust where we expect to see gains. In fact figure axelback to be around 10 h.p. and header to be around 10 h.p. DOing a catback section in the middle will prolly only get you an extra 2-3 h.p. and a loss of low end power. OUch.

Correct. And as of right now, the 08s could use more "umph" in the low end.
