Thumbs down Injen SES - bad news for Fed Spec cars

Well speedcorps has been updated, and as of today the INJEN SES exhaust system will NOT fit any 2008 Lancer that is NOT a cali spec car. I really have this sick feeling to my stomach now, am extremely mad at Injen, and hate my car. I thought everyone else that has ordered it should know (in case you havent read their site). I guess RRM will be getting my money once the turbo kit is released.

^+1, although I'm skipping the Injen SES since it won't fit when I get my RRM turbo. But if for whatever reason I decide not to get the turbo, Injen SES on PZEV FTW

I know a few people out thre who have to change their mod list now . I wasn't planning on getting the injen exhaust, but I think that sux that they only made it for PZEV.

How the heck does it not fit Fed spec? I'd think we could just plug the extra bung and call it a day... The parts are all the same size/shape, aren't they?

The guy who came up with this idea at INJEN (marketing) just qualified for the "I need to be shot" award. I am assuming that about 80% of the cars out there are FED spec. if this is true and INJEN has no plans to make a fed spec version, then I really assume they dont want to make money.

I am going to make some calls to INJEN on Tuesday to see what is going on,
I am starting a wall of disapointment / shame when it comes to Lancer 08 problems and failures.

I have one company on there now and I rather not add INJEN to that list. I really hope they wouldnt be this clueless to not produce a part that makes up the majority of the line. I thought INJEN was going to wait until the 09 is released, I heard the pipe for that is a little off as well.

I dont usually poke direct fun at vendors cause I understand how difficult R&D can be, but if this doesnt fit the 09 PZEV spec, 2.4L, then someone inside INJEN is going to get the AK 47 treatment from management.

So you are mad at Injen for not being CARB approved. Oh well. They are not going to sink money into one product for a small segment to get it approved. Futhermore, if you hate your car just because on part manufactuer does not make what you want, get rid of your car.

Also, have your researched into if RRM turbo kit will be CARB approved?

He said nothing about CARB approval (that I saw).

But isn't it in the stock exhaust manifold or something like that? I know I should look for myself, but my FSM is at home...
