Hi All I just got the Injen CAI for my ride yesterday it really sounds good and the performance is not that much as many people think but is a good upgrade to the engine.

oh wow, you took the whole bumper off, no need for that, just to let everyone know for future reference. Looks good though

Nope! Just the black plastic underneath the front bumper, and your good to go. Got mine installed two days ago, and my mechanic didn't want to go through the hassle of taking the bumper off.

lol one of my screws broke at the head. lol the halted my installation lol
I will be doing my formal review as soon as I get time. But as was said by a few others this weekend when we got ours, it pulls better then I expected, and sounds just right, not to loud and not too quiet

Bro, knowing we live in a land of snow and slush, do you think a hydro shield is required to protect water getting into the intake?

I am going to actually apply a plastic mesh infront of the filter / oil cooler which should cut down on the particles that make it into that wheel well area. applying to hydro shield should be used in situation where direct exposure to the elements. In our case, rain and snow, I dont think you have anything to worry about. I have had two cars with CAI, and I have been thru about 5 winters and never had a problem. one time after a really bad rain storm with huge puddles for splashing around, i took out my filter, it was bone dry along with everything in the wheel well.

your biggest risk is just super deep flood situations. remember when like finch or steels road just sank in to the ground after heavy rain. lol ya stuff like that.

Could you post a pic of that if/when you do so, evo_soul? Like a shot of the mesh itself and then with it in place? Thanks.

all you do is turn the wheel
unclip part of the wheel well and bend it back
set it on the tire
and bam
