did you also read how rrm also messed up on the pulley at first? no one is perfect. shyt happens and its what ppl do when said shyt hits the fan. there was a thread about how rrm accually screwed some kid on here with customer service. so either way. i recommend Fujita even if you dont.

dude i havent had a CEL in over 400 miles now. and i told you what i did to fix it even if it took injector cleaner to clean them properly so i could use it. dont get me wrong but i did talk to fujita directly and told them abou the cel and im getting V3 which is the perfected one for our lancer.

^^^ thats great i just wouldnt recommend this intake to anyone and if it is true that V3 is solid now i would only recommend people get it directly from FUJITA there are so many vendors that have V1 and V2 still in stock because no one bought this garbage intake.
on the last 3 intakes ive used ive never had to use anything extra to make it work right.
a well designed intake should work out of the box thats all im saying.

Haha trust me when i say im all for fujita. But man they did f**k up on this intake. All that aside and what not, make sure if you're going to get a fujita get the version 3. Undeniably fujita made a crappy first and second generation model. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt everyone makes mistakes, and for the price version 3 is worth it IMO. Good thing is they do honor their products for 10 years and they back their s**t up.

^^ dude if you would read what i wrote, i have the V2. the company number i posted on here is to fujita in Cali(the main store) but also as i posted earlier. the intake is fine it just allows a hair over the air needed to run so yes it threw a code for running lean. it wasnt a mis- placement of the sensor. but even with the V2 i havent had any problems in about 400+ miles now.
i posted the number allready to the main warehouse. if you call they should let you order from them directly. but remember the V3 is the one with a smaller area around the sensor. if you have one that is the same sixe all the way thru its the V1 or V2.

^ "DUDE" You still had problems; that is my point. I have had Injen, RRM, and K&N products with 0 problems with any version: 1,2, or 3!!! Should not take 3 products to make it right. It should have been done right the first time. We as the consumer expect that! At least I do!! That is why I will never deal with Fujita! Good luck with your intake!

thanx i hope it keeps werking as well as it has been. but just saying you say you havent had any problems with those and with my 02 lancer i didnt have any problems other then a dented roof, but if you notice rrm has V2 next to most of the 08-09 lancer stuff. just saying sometimes bad stuff happens and im sure they paid for those mistakes with having to make new stuff because their older stuff had problems and that is why i think they will be a good company because they have already felt the sting of return.

^ If this is the case, then it was never a design issue, it was a engine displacement size issue, that they had to compensate for with the MAF sensor. Once again, I bet no CEL's were are thrown, and I highly doubt you simply go out and buy a can of "STP" fuel injector cleaner to resolve the lean/rich ratio problem! What a crock, and a poor excuse for a defending a poor quality product!

babygotback seems like one of those people who doesnt have an open mind, generally conservative probably republican, likes to pay more for things he necessarily should not because they have a mainstream name brand slapped on them but to each his own and you know what enough with the fuel injector cleaner excuse, you DONT need it for the fujita v3 to work properly it does it on its own. And im not defending a poor quality product im pretty sure that it has performed 3000 plus miles with no problems and only gains so if thats poor quality im going to have to relearn my definition of poor quality.
edit: about the whole shouldnt take 3 tries to get it right.... im pretty sure your parents tried more times than that before they had you, hopefully you dont think poor quality based on your logic.

but then the questions fall to reliability of Fujita's product.... they are in business for so many years... and yet... they need to reverst 3 times to make the right SRI for the lancer...?? it's not reasonable for an experienced company... how often do you see K&N or Injen need to revise their products...??

How can you trust a company who after 3 versions are still having issues. SOME PEOPLE WITH THE VERSION 3 are still getting CELs. IT IS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW AND THE ITEM SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN RELEASED. The only reason they sell it is because they can.
RRM V1 header had a design flaw in the flex section that caused the mount to crack. Fixed in version 2, never heard of a version 2 with cracked mounting plate. RRM pulley V1 was not made out of hard enough material for the part that was constantly rotating to handle the stress and it caused a groove to be worn in the material. Fixed in V2 with hardened steel sleeve over the end. RRM SRI V1 was to get an item on the market and to get an intake for their gymkhana car. V2 was an improved design to make more power. NO CELs on any of the intakes unless you did something wrong during install. I'm pretty sure a few of the early buyers had to reseat their MAFs cause they didnt get the O-ring set properly. As far as the 08 lancers go these are the only issues I know of on RRM's side when it comes to performance parts. Rob can explain the details better than I can, he explained them to me at one point.
Yes I am a RRM lover, but I will buy other companies products if they are better than what RRM offers. But, when it comes to fujita from EVERYTHING I have seen of their products. They are poorly designed and rushed to market so that they have something out there for gullible people to buy. Strut bars with ends that are screwed on so that they can have one main shaft and then just use different end pieces for the specific application the sale is for. They are cheap, mass produced, modular products and you get what you pay for. They are cheap(price) for a reason. When it comes to your car, please people stop buying **** just cause its easy on the pocket book. Building a reliable, quality custom car is never cheap.
