2009 GTS Proper Maintenance

Hello All,

My wife currently drives the 2009 GTS. I've neglected the car in terms of proper maintenance since I've babied my own car(2004 Honda S2000). We've always changed the oil every 3K miles but now am going to change the oil myself and use Synthetic. I also recently purchased a cabin air filter to switch out. I've changed the air filter recently.

What other proper maintenance measures can I do myself to ensure this car runs smoothly for a while or until I decide to trade it in once we have kids.

The car currently has 30,000 miles and is an automatic transmission.

Thanks in advance.

Trans fluid flush change would probably be a good idea, but make sure you get CVT fluid. Check out the drivetain forum:

Nothing much more then what you are already doing. Just ensuring that you are getting the oil changed on a regular basis, which it already sounds as if you are. Then getting your transmission fluid changed, keeping an eye on the brake fluid too . If the car came equipped with the allergen filter, making sure that as wel as the air filter don't need replacement either. The car will tell you if it needs any immediate attention anyways .. goodluck!

Regular maintenance on these cars is reasonably easy. Do a search of my username, and you'll find a couple of how-to articles on the subject, including a detailed 30K service.
