This car needs cams to make power.

Does anyone happen to have a N/A DOHC 4G93 ROM by any chance? I want to compare the 93 and 94 maps side by side. Even though I got the car tuned, I feel like it's the wrong map for the head.

Mmmm, what makes you feel that?

BTW, if you ever want to get rid of the head and all...let me know.

lol, I'll keep you in mind if that happens.

As for why I feel that way, Even though the tune on the stock Lancer ROM dialed in the A/F ratio and brought back fuel efficiency, something in my gut tells me that the motor isn't behaving like It's supposed to. At Wide open throttle, I feel like my car isn't getting enough fuel at higher RPMs. I'm gonna do more datalogging over the weekend to test my theory.

All motor you should be running around 12.5 at WOT probably tapering to around 12.0 by redline

My A/F was averaging at 12.6. I can hardly call myself a tuner and I'm doing some reading to learn what the heck I'm looking at, but what should the Injector Duty Cycle be hovering at, at WoT?

Depends on your injectors. That only tells you how hard they're working. Typically I guess, you'd want to keep it under 60%.

Yes, I knew I wasn't going crazy when I felt like I wasn't getting enough fuel at higher RPMs!

Top right is the AUDM Maps for the DOHC 4G93. Bottom left is my tune

Hmm... That is interesting. But the thing is you can't go off of those numbers of 11.0 and 12.4 thats on the map. That number is what the ecu is told to shoot for. There are many things that factor in that, Maf scaling is important, injector latency, and other things. Those overseas numbers may equal your numbers, but just in a different way. The only way to know is your WB. That is what's giving you your real reading, not just a double check.

But on the other hand maybe you're not getting enough fuel. If I were you I'd switch to big maps, give it more definition, and just go ham on that rom! Lol

But!... I wonder if your stock rom has the fuel and load cap...

At least it's something to warrant a little more investigating. I just discovered Roadspike's ROM and regret not loading it from the get go. I'm gonna try and transfer my current map onto it (Like I said, not exactly a tuner). If anything, I can load up my current .hex/xml file an the AUDM .hex/xml if anyone would like to take a gander.

**Edit**

So I had a shop who specializes on Mirages and did the swap take a look at my ROM. He told me that there were indeed issues with my Maps. I'm gonna have him email tune and see what can be done

Post the roms here. I might get bored and poke around in there.

I was poking around a Mirage forum and ran into David at DSTuning, who specializes on tuning 4G9X motors. I sent him my ROM and he told me it was out of whack. He's gonna e-mail tune my ROM since I already have ECUFlash, EVOScan, and a Tactrix cable. But here's the ROMs for my car and the AUDM DOHC motor along with their corresponding XML.

I just got done logging data for the version 2.0 ROM that David at DSTuning did for me... Wow. No offense to my previous Tuner. He's a wizard when it comes to the 4G63 and It was kinda my bad to have him tune my 4G94 ROM with no reference to the 4G93E maps... but the difference is as clear as night and day. I can't wait to hit the Dyno again!

So yeah haven't time to hit the Dyno yet, but I did race my Friend's stock 2013 FR-S (6-SP MT) a few nights ago. Highway run from 45 to 85-90-ish. I paced him the entire time. Towards the very end he started to inch on me... literally poke the nose out. But he didn't blow me out of the water. Doing the math, (using the weight of both cars' and the FR-S' whp from a Mustang Dyno/crank hp) I figure I'm in the neighborhood of 141 whp/ 180 crank.

Only thing was my RPMs never went higher than 6500 RPMs. Unless I rebuild my tranny like Demon_ni2 or do a manual conversion, I'm at a loss. =P
