Evo X mounts on a GTS

Whats up guys?

I was wondering if a rear engine mount from a Evo X would work on a 2008 GTS?

Reason why I ask this is because my rear engine mount has the inserts completely torn apart and its causing quite a bit of engine play, which I think may be causing my shifting issues.

I've been quoted buy the dealer for a new mount but now Im just thinking if the Evo X mounts are compatible with the 2.0L GTS', because if so I might consider going aftermarket.

Thanks!

I can't seem to find an answer to your question exactly... Without actually calling someone that makes them, I can't confirm or deny that they're the same size. I would like to think that Mitsubishi used the same mounts, but with the amount of random differences between the base lancer and the Evo/Ralliart, it wouldn't surprise me if they were different sizes.

RoadRaceMotorsports does have base-Lancer motor mounts tho. Maybe get those?

Thanks for your quick reply.

Regarding the RRM engine mounts, I have noticed they sell them but due to the fact I've not been impressed with their quality with two items I've bought from them, I'd rather look at another company. Problem is, no other company makes engine mounts for the GTS but I do notice they make them for the Evo X's.

It might fit or work with some modification, you would have to get both part numbers and see if they are even similar...reason I say this is because the EVO may use a heavier duty mount to compensate for almost two and a half times the power of a 150 HP Lancer. If I find an answer, I'll post it up here pretty quick.
