4B11 Valve Clearance Adjustment

Forgive me if this info is poster somewhere but I havent been able to find it.

This pertains to my 2010 Lancer ES 2.0L I see that per Mitsubishi's recommended service, a valve clearance check/adjustment is suggested at 60k mi intervals. Ive seen very little info on the web about anyone actually doing this. What is the general consensus? Are this checks more a precautionary "recommendation" from Mitsubishi or does the 4B11 engine commonly need to have it's shims/buckets adjusted throughout its service life?

With that said, I went ahead and checked clearances on my 2010 Lancer ES this past weekend. The car has 95k mi on it, so Ive already waited way longer then Mitsu's suggested 60k mi interval. I found all valves to be with in specification except for 2 intake valves. The target clearance as i understand it is .008" +/- .0012". That puts the minimum clearance at .0068". On the 2 tight intake valves, i was able to get a .006" feeler in but not a .0065". All the other valves were within spec, but most were at the low limit.

Should i dig into this an make the necessary adjustments? How difficult are the shim/buckets to get? Is the typical dealer going to stock them?

Thanks in advance
