First Mods?

Hello all! I'm new here to the forum. My name is Dylan. I've joined because I'll be getting an 05 OZ Rally edition lancer soon. Anyways, now the introduction is over, what are the first good engine mods for these lancers besides the obvious intake, exhaust, spark plugs and wires. It already has a K&N Cold air intake btw and it's a 5-speed. I basically want it to have 250-300hp and good torque to make it a more fun driver but I also want it to be good in corners. Any good insight is appreciated thanks!

250-300hp?!

you need to throw a turbo on it, and even then, that is quite a bit of power.. definitely not going to be cheap.....

intake and exhaust will net you maybe 5hp, if that....

yeah 250-300hp would be probably need somewhere in the range of 12-16psi of boost from a good sized turbocharger...super high comepression and race gas likely wouldn't even get you 300hp from a 2.0L. there's nitrous injection, but that's pretty temporary, difficult to tune, and not usually street legal.

If you're looking to make 250hp, don't waste any money on any intakes or exhaust components, cause you're going to need a turbo kit.

To make the type of power your wanting out of our little engine your going to have to fork out some $ you should have the bottem end built for sure. "Rods pistons" to handle that power reliably. Really intake and exhaust don't do much to the 94 it responds to boost decently. But proceed with caution. The bottem end is not very stout. I had 201hp on 7lbs with mine and it was a blast. Good luck with your build have any questions we all here to help
