K&N Typhoon Cold air intake for AT?

I am told by a company called AMS, from www.buyams.com, that this k&n typhoon cold air intake kit has been discontinued, cost 230$ , is a cold air, and will fit into an automatic transmission... is this possibly without me moving the battery? i just dont wanna be really dissapointed because they lied to me , and the intake does not fit.

if won't fit, i believe, even if you do move the battery. Its a problem of the AT vs the 5speed, they sit differently in the engine department

Just get a CAI. Its cheaper and there isnt really enough difference between the two for you to notice. Plus its a lot easier to install.

The K&N Typhoon for the Lancers is an SRI (I know because I've owned one)... it is NOT a CAI. The Evo's K&N Typhoon is a CAI (I believe).

BTW, I've been to AMS in person... they can't tell their head from their @sses

Is it good? Yeah it is... but AMS lied to you about it being discontinued. I can call up just about any speed shop and have them order it if i wanted to. The K&N Typhoon SRI is pretty good, though quite pricey. I saw a good gain in power and torque when I had it on. I also had a HUGE increase in gas mileage... im talking about a 5 mpg difference. The downside is that this intake is loud as a mother being knocked up on a 3 legged bed. Man when I had an exhaust, this intake would overpower it (in terms of sound). That may be good for you but it was a lil too loud for my taste. Im satisfied with my RMR SRI.
