Grounding Kit

Grounding Kit
After many people asked me where do u ground everything... i decided to do this little guide. Sorry for the dirtyness of my engine bay, but this is the best i can do at 12:30am
1) Get a nice strong work light (Like my 3 million candle power coleman here )
Here is an overview of where the standard ground points are:
Point 0 (Battery Ground):
Point 1 (Chassis 1 Ground):
Overview of engine from side:
Point 2 (Engine Block Ground):
Point 3 (Throttle Body Ground):
Point 4 (Belt-side Engine Block Ground):
Point 5 (Strut tower Chassis Ground):
Most of the ground points i chose already had a bolt or a nut there, I just removed it, slipped in 1 end of each wire (run the wires in a chain pattern) and put them back. You will need a nut for point 5's location, i used a nut i had laying around in the garage. Most of these ground points are pretty well conductive (no paint blocking it) with exception to point 1 and point 5. Use a 300 or so grit to take the paint off before you ground at those locations. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM or IM me.

Tranny ground??? Thats what I did on mine with exception to your point 5 and when I grounded the throttle body I did the actual throttle body point 5 I think I went to a different bolt, and I also got the tranny.

I installed the ground kit on my automatic with the stock airbox installed... so it was literally impossible to reach down to the fatass tranny. But if you wanna ground to the tranny, i suggest you go from point 2 to the tranny then to point 3
I also have a 4 gauge wire running from the alternator to the battery's positive terminal, to help improve recharging. (Not pictured)

you should make your own thread about that... dont hijack others!! sounds like a cool idea though as long as it is a full box.. like top and all... just something around the sides will look gay!

There are many different grounding points in the engine, the best ones are probably for someone to figure out, probably what is listed above. I know Rally driver's have been doing this for years just made of their own equipment for that extra lil kick.
