I don't know why not. Isn't that what you are supposed to use? I just changed my oil to Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic. Walmart has 5qts for under 10 bucks I think.

Stick with 5w30... I think that 15w30 is for colder climates. If you're in question then just look it up in your owners manual. I am sure it says 5w30. I think the car takes something like 3.7qts... I remember it was something strange like that. Most cars take 4qts... but check that as well...

Stick with 5w30... I think that 15w30 is for colder climates.
Use only 5w30 in a four season climate which will provide adeqate protection and fuel economy for your 4G94 engine and 10w30 in warmer climates like in the southern states, do not use 15w30 which is a thicker viscosity oil for larger slower turning engines.

Bingo! I use 10w30 because I live in hot Sunny California. Otherwise, I thought Mitsu recommended 5w30 in the owner's manual so you should be fine. I think synthetics are a little different though, but I could be wrong.
