Maybe but still unlikely. Invest in a Rev Speed Meter with the G-Sensor or rent out some dyno time.

i am probably just an idiot but i have an intake and i felt a noticable difference, i figured that when i do my exhaust i would feel an increase the same as i did with the intake, like my whole exhaust ( rmr headers, buscher downpipe, no cat, no resonator, magnaflow muffler, and 2.75 all the way back)

Just wondering ... People have said how the OZ is slow. If you put on an intake ... would that make the car "Acceptable"?? or would you need an exhaust too?

Good call pjal.
Hardcore, the difference you're feeling is the difference in shifting of HP and TQ. The intake won't do much. Sound is the biggest difference, but you do feel an amplified effect on more areas of the RPM range right?

Hey tone, just call it the US Lancer, because the Lancer ES, LS, and OZ in the US all have the same specs engine-wise. And in answer to your question: No, because the car is acceptable already. Lancer's have good torque and decent power for it's debut. I think that it's highly underpowered, but that's what makes tuning fun.

now replace your cat with the RRM test pipe.. it gets MUCH louder and you feel even more high end gain! i have RMR exhaust with no resonator and i replaced the second cat with the RRM test pipe.. awesome gains, awesome sound.

test pipe is 70 bucks. I didn't notice a huge sound increase when I put it on. But I do have my resonator still. Curse the parts manager who told me the RMR exhaust was cat-back. ( I point blank asked him if it was, wonder if he thought that because the exhaust comes after the cat that it could apply)

yo, i got my resinator off at a local muffler shop. I had them replace it with a piece of straight stock piping. It ending up costing my like 46 bucks u could also prob do that ur self if u knew how to weld. i noticed a slight increase in noise, but not that much in the HP department.......how that helps.

I noticed that the RRM is not catback either. Is there a true catback exhaust out there?

Apexi makes a silencer for the muffler, I have the same one. It will deaden the sound a little AND you get a little more low-end torque b/c of the added backpressure.
