plus i think kids have a much greater understanding and appreciation for a car if they buy it....this way the ramificaitons of an accident making them double broke are on there mind when they punch it against some punk integra.......he def needs to buy his own car tho if he wants to mod something to race around......

i am 18 and have owned 4 cars.....84 camry (whoopie), 79 el camino w/ a 350 4bbl that i restored myself and it flew, 89 maxima that i roasted the engine on racing, and my lancer. i payed for all the cars with my own money...ive been working since 12 yrs old (local church) and a legit job since frosh year at an architectural firm. i know that i appreciate drivign my car alot mor e than my moms or dadstho when i put the pedale to the floor...if i crash there car (mercedes 320 clk and yukon xl) then my life is over!

save your money, keep saving it till your out of college and own a nice batchelor pad, that's what attracts the women, trust me. most college cuties aren't impressed by imports, and if they are.....then....well, so be it.
if you just want speed and attention then buy a sportscar since it'll save you money in the long run and you'll still have the warranty just don't drive it like a bonehead
stuff you should think about is cutting some fat off the car. makes you accelerate faster and corner quicker. and is generally cheap
just a few tidbits you can either listen to or not, you're choice since it's your money not mine.
