Lancershop Short Shifter

Does anyone have the LS Authority EVO 5pc Short Shifter Combo in their lancer? If so how do you like it? I'm thinking of getting this over the Kartboy short shifter and bushings mainly cause of the price. Can you remove the shift knob they give you and install the Kartboy onto it?

I just installed it last weekend and I really like it. After some intial shock of how much stiffer it is, I got used to it after about 10 min, and started liking it soon after. The throws are alot shorter and defiantely lets you shift quicker.

I haven't installed the under hood bushings yet, but I will this weekend. I also bought the BG syncro shift fluid which I am going to put in this weekend

How does the 8 shifter base bushing thing work? The Kartboy uses only 4, so what is it one bushing on top one on bottom or something?

Yes the kart boy is only 4 just like stock, it's just a stiffer compund but still installs just like stock. The metal bushings have 4 on the bottom and 4 on top, like you said.

its been 109 for a little while now I think it may have been more when it first hit the market but honestly it doesn't seem like this part would be that difficult to machine specially if you were selling a lot of them which at that price im sure they are most competitors are at least 30 bucks more.

it's a good deal. It comes with 10 bushings. The short shifter and a decent shift knob, and the retainer you need for intstall.

Oh,

I don;t use the shift knob, it just screws off and I just put the stock back on. It screws on just like stock shifter!
