cleaning tha engine?????

I used some household spray cleaner/de-greaser and super-soft towels. It worked very well. It was kind of a pain getting in all the small spaces, but not too bad. It wasn't like "show-ready" sparkling shiny, but it was very clean. I do want to put in a different heat shield and or manifold pipes... that's the one ugly/rusty looking part. Pics:

and if anyone is nervous about water getting to the plugs, just keep the engine running when you do it. that way, if any water gets in there, itll burn up instantly.

make sure you go to one that's using hot water. I wouldn't want cold water blasting on my hot engine block

Just paint it with some high heat engine paint. The heat shield isn't all that bad looking and would look killer painted red. That's my plan.
