That's a Taiwan market model. They export those to Thailand and a few other Asian markets.
The U.S. redesign, scheduled for 2006, will be designed together with DCX and share platform with the next Neon or other Dodge compact. It'll be built in the U.S. and powered by the U.S. built Global Alliance Engine.

Maybe it's just me but i really don't dig this car.
If this is where the lancer is headed they are going to kill a really good car. Looks to me that it would just become another everyday sedan with luxury items in it. I'd rather have the ponies and the style that it has now.
It's too bad Dodge will sink their teeth in it's power plant too Knowing Dodge they will just turn it into another neon style car or try and make it into a luxury car....if you want to call it that. Here's hoping they don't fix what isn't broken.
