Whoa... Final Destination 3.

I have my own wreck story. Last year, the day after my 22nd birthday I was driving to work at the 32nd St. Naval Station since my ship, the USS Fitzgerald DDG-62, was about to depart that morning. So I'm rushing through traffic on Harbor Dr. to make it on time.

At the time I was driving a 1990 Nissan 240SX hatchback and was in the shadow of a large SUV. When the SUV switched lanes the sun blinded me for a second. When I saw the Mack truck it was too late, no time to stop. I slammed my brakes. I knew I wouldn't be able to stop in time. I tried to maneuver between the Mack stopped in road and cars parked along the side. Didn't work. The entire driver's side was torn to shreds underneath the truck. I flew up from my seat on impact, but stopped by the steering wheel and seat belt. The whole front end of my 240SX was pushed forward and both bones in my right leg were snapped by the gas and brake pedals with a chunk of bone puncturing through the skin. I was unable to move it while my left ankle was also broken. Thankfully some Navy firefighters were nearby to help me and call for an ambulance. They had to tear off my door with the jaws of life to pull me out. I didn't pass out until after getting in the ambulance on my way to Balboa Naval Hospital.

Aside from my 240 being wrecked beyond all recognition, just before I was about drop in an imported SR20DET engine and GReddy exhaust, I was stuck in a wheel chair for months before being able to walk again.

Using the money I saved from my 8 months deployment to the Persian Gulf I was able to put down a large downpayment on my '04 Lancer ES.

Bro......If this isn't a sign that God has a plan for you, than I don't know what is. 1 out of a 1,000 people would not get out and run right away. We weren't able to meet, but I'm the one that had offered you a "beer" at the meet on saturday. I'm really at a loss for words for what occured. YOU and your girlfriend ARE BLESSED! You've got a new lease on life. Good luck with everything!
