I hope you will recover soon. How messed up is your back? Is it painful? I recommend suing her. I hope she will get her comeuppance. I'm sure you must be pretty angry at her for her rash disregard for your life. I think you should be thankful that that man chased her down and found her, at least now she will get divine retribution.

Anyway, keep your head cool, and keep us posted.

It good you made it out alive. Hopefully she gets the max punishment availiable. I think everyone that drinks and drives should get the the max penalty, ecspecially if there is an accident. I hate sounding like a dic# but it so easy to not drink and drvie. hopefully you 100% here soon. Good luck!

I'm just interested in what she has to say for herself.

I know it must be hard to think yourself as a lucky guy, but to everyone here you are. It could have been a lot worse, not that it isn't already, but it could have been. I hope your back and neck heal up because you only get one of each for the rest of you life!

I agree with everyone about taking her to court both legally and civilly. There should be no tolerence for this crap.

Get well

Dude... you are so lucky... if she had hit you closer to up front you might be dead. I hope you recover from this. Be positive and concentrate on getting healthy.

Well I'm not going to say much about being drunk by 4pm (here in college town, some people are drunk by 8am, especially on unofficial st. patty's day), but having the idea to drive afterwards is seriously retarded. Even some of the most alcoholic college students these days (at least all that I've known) have the sense to get some other form of transportation. That was just pure stupidity on her part.

Thanks for all the support guys. My back is healing up but the doc says ill be in alot of pain for at least 3 weeks(thanks god for meds!). Yeh none of my window shattered and my head even smashed the drivers window really hard, i though for sure it was at least cracked but its not. Im pretty sure its going to be totaled i will find out for sure today if it is. The frame looks kinked in a couple spots and the whole side of the car will moe then likely need reapired. Thank god the lady has insurance! And the other day i was talkin to the police and they said this is not her first DUI and accident so more then likely she faces a year in jail which more then likely will be suspended to 30 days. Oh well at least she is getting some kind of punishment out of it.
