keep us updated, cause I had just kind of excepted that our car had kind of a diesel sound to it, Id like to know if this will be an upcoming prob

alright, so i have a video up, its a WMV but theres no video, jus sound...i kept the cap on b/c if theres more colors and movement, it means bigger file size.

so lemme know what u guys think...its sounds ok...KINDA gives u a idea, my brother is taking my car in tomorrow morning so the service manager at mitsubishi will give see if its covered under warranty...so...

that sounds horrible. almost like a Diesel. piston slap is a bad thing too, google it

When I would get piston slap in my old car it sounded like "smack! smack! smack!" The sound clip is hard for me to understand. The sound from your pulleys is loud. Then I hear what sounds like your lifters or injectors.. If you think there is an internal problem, take a screw driver and a rag. Place the head of the screw driver near your header on the engine and the handle pressed up to your ear, listen for distortion(s/p?) while you idle or rev. Try it with each cylinder. You can also lay the rag down and do the same thing to the top of the head to listen to the internals. Just make sure you put the pointy side down!
