RRM Strut Bar Placement

After installing my strut bar, I was browsing and looking at reviews about the bar and see what other people thought of it.

And I noticed. Most people put the strut bar on the back 2 bolts. I put mine on the front 2 bolts (towards the front of the car). Does it matter? I don't think it does since it is all the same thing. Just wondering though.

i put my RRM rear strut bar on my back two bolts (that's what RRM shows in their picture). Then I put my RRD rear strut bar on my front two bolts (the bar was free so i put it on anyway).

I just put on my K-style RRM strut bar and to fit mine on, I had to jack up the car to relieve tention off the frame. (causes the strut towers to relax and make a greater distance between them) Then I tightened up the bolts and set the car back down.. then tightened them up once again to make sure they were tight. The strut bar will fit on there.. only exception is if you have gotten in an accident and your front end is screwed up. Just take the time to jack up the car and make it fit. I also had to wiggle it around a little bit and tug one of the threaded bolts so it would thread the nut on without rubbing the side of the strut bar. (causing the socket not to fit on the bolt and be able to thread it down tight)

Putting it on the back means extra clearance and room to work.

has anyone evr tryed putting one on each, one on front and back... or is that just overkill. probably what the kbar accomplishes to a certain extent.

It wouldn't be much different than the k-bar, the strut towers don't twist around in circles, they only bend in and out with chassis flex. so... it would be cheaper to get the k-bar.

I think wiretaps' right on the money. K-bar would be cheaper/fine. The flex that strut tower bars combat is almost entirely torsional (think of the bars twisting like twizzlers) though. The shock towers don't really move themselves.

Cool, I was thinking it didn't matter.

I just didn't want to look stupid being the only one having it on the front. Like you said nicktutt, people said crap. But that's cool.
