Exactly. Getting the '93 IM on and off is a breeze without the brace in the way. I'd be down for one.

Exactly what i was thinking... also they get made at the same times in one run so it really isn't a bad trade of. Sure i might lose a few bucks but i think sales that include both would be the icing on the cake to sway the market.

I'm seriously checking into it guys. Once i get some pricing estimates and run quantity summations i'll let you know.

Keep the inputs coming... and start saving some cash as you just never know what product may come out soon.

This is something i'm trying to incorportate into the design... that way there is no need for the gaskets. If i need to then i'll see how that effects pricing. For now though they are not planned on being needed. As long as the phenolic is made with a sealable surface there should be no issues. To test this i'm basically mounting a manifold to an aluminum piece of stock like it would be to the head. Then i'm putting one in between the tb. The aluminum stock is solid for sealing. Then i'm pressure testing the assembly. I figure if it can hold 25-30psi we're good to go.

Trust me it will be tried and trued before put on a shelf for sale... that's a promise!!

good thinking

i don't think sealing would be a problem, as long as they are machined so each exposed surface is flat (which is a guarantee cause i believe boe is doing this on the cnc mill)

hell, there are gaskets made out of soft aluminum, i figure this thermo-plastic material would have almost the same give so it would be perfect for sealing like a gasket

Yeah I'd totally be down for the set, too. Except I have no idea in f.ck how to put them on. But several people on here are helpful and I usually just search and read to figure sh.t out.

if you can change a gasket, you can put these things on, it's not tough.

hardest one would be the IM one, and that should be easy enough since you aren't swapping out the IM, just taking it off a little bit, swap gaskets, and bolt it back up

with all you guys doing IM and bored TB swaps, i'd say spend the extra 100 bucks or less (whatever boe decides to charge) and pick these up at the same time. 2 birds, 1 stone and some nice gains

would this spacer also work with the 4g93 manifold. I'm considering getting that and having it ported since everyone tends to agree I'd see better gains from that than a ported 4g94.

Also a little off topic but does anyone know of a thread/ how to for removing/ installing the intake manifold. I didnt' search but I figured I might as well ask since we're on the general subject and it seems many of you have already done this.

yes, will fit 4g93, its the same bolt pattern adn uses same gaskets

for install, there are 3 threads floating around on manifold installs, you dont' even need to search, they were bumped to the top of a few forums (lancer gen, lancer engine, how to/install i think)
