Important Emission Recall Notification

Re: Important Emission Recall Notification: EMR-05-001

Has anyone gotten this recall yet besides me? I searched real quick and nothing seemed to come up.

It says damage can occur to the warm-up catalytic converter and make your SES light come on and not pass emissions. I wonder if the are speaking of the cat in the header or cat pipe. I wonder if I just remove the cat itself if it would not be damaged. I don't want them taking it in and putting a new ECU program on my car. And there are no emissions tests in Florida so I wonder if I shouldn't even worry about it.

The service they do it reprogram your ECU with a new program to provent the potential damage from occuring.

Does anyone have any idea what this will change? Since it has something with changing ECU programming I wonder if the RRM piggyback will still work with the new ECU program that want to put in the cars.

After reading it over some more, it says it will reprogram the ECC (Emissions Control Computer), does anyone know it that has anything to do with the ECU?
