hey i tried searching for a thread about evo trunk and bumper on an 04 es and i was wondering... i dont like the license plate holder in the middle of my trunk lid and was wondering if i can have it like the evo holds the license plate. thanks to whoever can help me out with this.

 

well its not that im trying to make it look like an evo...its just that the evo viii has a flat trunk lid in comparison to the 04-05 lancers. see for yourself. it indents a mark into the trunk where license plate goes, versus the 02-03 lancer which has the license plate on the bumper...like the current Lancer Evolutions!!!!!

 

Your opinion of your car and what you do with it is what makes it different. But just so you know, the trunk from an Evo to '04 - '05 Lancer won't work. It would for the '03 - '04's...sorry. But if you're good with fiberglass, or you know someone that is...anything can be done. Fill in the license plate area and cut a new one in the bumper. Custom baby! Good luck though...

 

Best bet is a custom job.

 

yeah man, you're best bet is to go custom, the evo trunk only goes on the 02-03's due to the fact they're the same.

 

Hate to say it but Accolade is working on a kit like this. Cerious already makes the trunk (I think)

 

thunk will fit but wont line up, same with the bumper....in the end anything will fit, if you have the moeny to do so

 

i swear if i ever get an evo ill never hate on you guy's for liking the evo's body style and wanting to put it on your cars.

The aftermarket world for our cars is supported because everyone wants to move in a chosen direction, his in in the body and styling.

Why would you look down on a car because of the price(10-30)? My buddy owns Porshe and is a dentist and he isn't that cocky.

that is the person that makes everyone say "every evo owner is a punk *** kid with no respect" sorry that not everyone can make enough money to buy an evo. im just fine with my OZ and if i want it to look like an evo then ill do it. i like the evo but i dont like the jackass people that look down on anything cheaper than what they have.

my buddies dad has a viper and he doesnt go around talking crap about everything that is under $80k. if anyone has the right to look down on people its the viper owners in my opinion. but all the people who drive those know that not everyone can afford something that expensive..

on a better note. i also dont like how my 05 OZ has the licnese plate on the trunk. i too have seen people saying the evo trunk will fit.. not the evo bumper just the truck

 

I to have questioned why lancer/ralliart owners like Evo parts etc...but i have to agree with Evo-8-Nate and SocalES... i use to have an ES myself and i dreamed to own an Evo...now i do. I try not to forget where i came from or look down on you guys or anyone else for that matter because they dont own an Evo.That comment that guy made was really just stupid and makes all of us Evo look like we are jackasses...and we are not.

 

02-03 ES, OZ trunk will fit on the 04 ES but u will also need to replace the tails......correct me if i am wrong.

Dont look for EVO trunk cause they have wider body which means wider trunk may be !!

 

ok, the 02-03 lancer and the evo have the same exact trunk, so they are a direct bolt ons. The 04-06 has a different trunk and the evo trunk will not line up correctly, it will fit but will need modification.

 

Who prices the Lancers there? Damn 10k? I wish i had know so i didn't lay down 17K in 2002! Hey should a G35 be called a Skyline then? Or how about an IS 300 be called an Altezza? Anyway, back on topic! You can't do that without some decent amount of body work. Like they say though if you got the cash it can be done!
