Talking Jet HOT Coating

Hey guys. I've been in touch with jet hot and they will be soon receiving my RPW headers for coating. Questions is this.... will the basic, 1400 F coating work, or should I go for the 2000F coating? This is a street car, like to do some dragging in it. Other than that I won't be going turbo, is the 2000 degree coating really necessary? Thanks ahead,

NB1

When I spoke with Jet Hot they told me to go 2K due to the fact that my car was a turbo......They recommend 1400 if you have N/A car......Even on the high performance N/A cars they still recommended the 1400....You won't be producing nearly enough heat to worry about the 2K coating....

Yeah, using turbo and an EGT you should be in the 1300-1320 degree category for proper ex temps. It should be just fine. Hopefully you won't be running any hotter...
