Royal Purple rocks, but I don't know what the hell it does to my car
Going from Royal Purple to QuakerState, I can vouch for RoyalPurple's performance claim. Unles QuakerState really freakin s**k

This sounds strange.
With a friend driving behind your car, does he/she can see smoke out of the exhaust. I expect it on a much older like my tired 89 S13 . . . at 4.2K it started to burn oil from the exhaust wheteher normal or WOT merging into the interstate. Yes, I already knew its rings were shot at +165K miles on the engine.

We have built half a dozen engines. The thing is the oil pump has fairly low tolerances and it is our belief that oil pump has trouble pushing this typically thinner sythetic oil through the motor. Ususally it cause more bottom end problems. As for this particular car. He may have worn valves etc.. rather than piston ring problem.

Yeah, I've been running Mobil 1 5w30 Extended performance in my car with no issues at all. Although I bought the car used with 48,000 miles so maybe you guys should break your cars in longer before switching to synthetic

i was informed by mitsubishi that Mitsubishi considers it normal to lose 1/2 - 1 quart of oil per oil change 2000-3000 miles...they said to run the regular oil for awhile and note each time i see oil gone and note the mileage...but i think i'm going to take rock up on his offer.
