CF intake duct on hood for SRI...?
Whats up guys? Was just running through the RRM site and looking for my next mod. I'm leaning towards a SRI more then a CAI and was wondering if anyone on here has got one of those Carbon Fiber EVO Style Hood Duct from RRM. If you do, how tough was the install? Do you ever have any problems with water injestion with it? Thanks for the advice.

a lot of us went with the ram air setup: run a 4" length of dryer vent to your SRI from the vent in the driver's side of the bumper. just search for ram air in the Lancer section. I just replaced one; it cost $14 and required no drilling any holes (much less large ones in my hood).
good luck with whatever you decide

I also have the little vent from rrm. Mine isn't installed yet either But I remember having this conversation before. Here's what I was told by some others:
Most people felt a well oiled filter alone would be sufficient as far as water - a couple had done that.
One guy said he just had a spot in the cf where water sorta (tiny) puddled, so he drilled a little hole.
There are also K&N fileter covers that are waterproof. I got one of those, and tried without the vent installed. I did think it restricted airflow a tiny bit... I think some people I work have the right tools to 'rivet' (per rrm) the piece in. The rivets didn't come with my cf piece, but I would much rather have a professional cut my hood !
