RRM vs. A2 Designs Pulley
Right now I have RRM's lightweight crank pulley and soon I am going to be getting a Ported Intake manifold for my car and HFC so back to the modding scene. I am considering swapping the pulley out with the one from A2 designs. Some people say that the A2 designs pulley helps ALOT off the line but I was wondering if some other people can give me their opinion and/or personal experience with it. Also, will the "underdrive" pulley, hurt the engine at all? Any decrease in A/C function or alternator function? Thanks!
BTW RRM's was nice, allowed the car to rev a little quicker. But honestly not much difference at all.

A2 designs will ship me a pulley in few days so once I will get it, JohnSlowES will help me out with the install and I will post a SPECIFIC review. Hopefully that will help you decide.

I think they give about the same gains. People get hyped about new stuff. Supposably the A2 is heavier than the RRM one but it is smaller. So I don't think its worth removing one and buying another. Too much work for not enough (or possibly none) gains.

They're pullies. They do the exact same thing (nearly nothing). If you swap one out for another, you're either 1) an idiot or 2) a brand *****.
Underdriven won't hurt anything, but it will drive less power to the car, so be aware if the lights dim, etc.

I just don't know if it is worth it :/ I would sell my crank pulley and belt for about 75-100. Both are less than a couple months old. Then I would buy the A2 designs underdrive pulley for 90 w/ belts and have it installed. Any first hand experience?

But, on topic... if the pulley is 25% smaller and weighs less than the RRM pulley, there should be a noticable difference between them. However, I don't see how anybody could say that there lights don't dim at idle with the pulley installed... mine dimmed from the factory.
