Question on HID and projectors

Hey guys just a quick question. I'm looking at projector headlights online and it says:

"can change to 4200K Xenon gas or higher Opti-Blue hyper-white bulbs"

does this mean I can safely upgrade to HID's without blinding everyone?

thanks a lot

UMM.. Does it matter if you blind people?..lol HID are bright no matter what you do.

4200K isn't that bright anyways.. that's the standard.

I got a 8000k Deep blue Kit.

DO IT!

KELVIN (4200K or 8000K) is just the color temp. It doesn't mean the higher the number the brighter the light.....

As far as HID go the higher the K color temp the lower light output. OEM HIDs are aruond 5,000 or 6,000 Kelvin. Exotic purple light, which lies around 12,000 gives off a bit less light, but still 2x more than halogens.

Haha i don't want to blind people! So, back to the message i started the thread with- if someone states that in the description for the projectors does that mean i can put in a 8,000 or 10,000 K HID kit and have it work properly?

I don't want to start another thread, and I'm coming back in the country soon, so I want to figure some stuff out now so I can have parts waiting for me when I finally get home.

Ok, so I've read up a lot more on this stuff and I think I know what I want to do. My only question is if I get the projectors, which have separate high and low bulbs, unlike a stock lancer headlight, and I do HID for the low bulbs, will I still be able to have my halogen high beams?

Thanks!

What HID kit are you using? It would just depend on the projectors you use - what holes they have and what wiring they use.

I'm planning on getting the ebay kit from nissangtrpower. Some members have it on here and it seems to work well. The projectors use an H7 and H1 bulb. That's about all I know. I do know that I'm only going to purchase projectors that are US lancer plug and play.

I hope that's enough info to get an answer. Thanks for the help so far!

i was looking at the same projectors and i asked a similar question in the other thread:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=258767&page=3

pretty much if you're going to buy those projectors, you can also buy the HID kit from that ebay seller since he offers h7 bulbs

as far as i can tell, the ebay projectors are plug and play, and i think a number of members here have them installed

i should be buying my projectors and HID kit within the next month, so if you don't have them by then i'll let you know

Thanks that sounds like a good idea. I won't know until sometime next month because I don't get back to the U.S. until the 27th. I just stumbled upon this other thread, do we have to do this if we are buying a kit?
