Powder Coating

also make sure they are using the polyester powder. This is what my company is using to finish our ornamental iron products. This is the most durable powder, as far as I know. Also make sure they sandblast the wheels first, do not have them chemical wash it.

^1 -- along with that there is a high temp and low temp method. Make sure they can do the low temp method, otherwise the rim could become brittle from being cooked.
Or you could take it to a good paint shop and have them prof. painted. (This is what I did - cheaper, and I got the color exactly how I wanted it).

My friend has a powder coat set-up... Its very easy. Ive done it. Powdered some intake pipes and some intercooler pipes. You need a oven.... depending on item, a sandblasting machine. A compressor with a powder coat gun... Buy the powder (some powder colors require a base color)... Hang them up after sanding and cleaning them with mineral spirits.. any fingerprints or oils will ruin the powdercoat. spray them with the powder. Then bake. The hardest part is the prep.. Can take a long time. On something like wheels I would have it professionally done..

Im in Philly, but I live outside the general city in the suburbs.
There arent many tuner shops around.
If I get a prof. Paint job what am I looking at price-wise VS a Powder coat?
Im concerned about my wheels/paint chipping.
Also, I should have questioned earlier.. I need the curb rash fixed too, what about that?

I had mine painted for $150 (I sanded them and did the prep. work (cleaned) them before I gave them to a buddies shop to paint). I had some slight curbrash and marks from the weighting - I was able to sand it off (I mainly just messed up the factory paint). How bad is the rash?
PC, best I could find pricewise for the low-temp method was $70 a tire (media blasting, cleaning, PC, clear coated). So that would have been $280 for 4.
