Best way to clean CAI filter?

Wondering what is the best way to clean AEM CAI filter? How often? What oil to use when re-oiling???

go by a K&N clean and recharge kit and read the instructions.

yeah. K&N makes a filter cleaner and a oil thats used.

Just get the K&N kit that they already told you about. You can get it at Pepboys for like $15 or $20 I think.

The video cleaning method is in AEM website. you wash it in warm water in a bucket with the AEM cleaning solution. Hope that helps.

Do you have a dry-flow filter? is it gray? Those do not get oiled, but I'm pretty sure you don't have one unless you bought it recently. otherwise just do what they said above

the KN filter cleaner will let you know how often. I might be wrong but I think it's every 15,000 miles. I remember reading that and thinking it seemed way too long. The car drives better after a clean, even after a short period of time. I probably clean mine every month or two or three. your cai prob gets dirtier faster than my short ram though

I like to clean when it starts to look dirty, when I have the free time, or once a year what ever comes first.
