Bro is getting his car soon..

Well my younger bro is getting his licence in like a week or something and he's been on the net like 24/7 researching all these cars.

He is sayin how he wants the EVO, and I keep telling him that it'll be a lot of work getting it and stuff into Canada (though it can be done) so get the lancer.

Now, putting the "getting it into Canada problem" a side, what should he go for? Please keep in mind that it's his first car, and he's only driven my moms minivan around a parking lot =/ ...

Just wanna kno what would be better for his first car, though Im thinking a lancer for a first car, tho thats jus my opinion.

Thanks for your 2 cents :P

no one on earth needs an evo as their first car. First cars should be beaters. He would be really upset if he wrecked it due to inexperience. Plus where is he gonna get 30k US dollars to buy the evo?

Yeah, defintely NOT an Evo for the first car

If he wants to stick with Mitsu, just get a Lancer

He should drive a beater first, for at least a year, then maybe a used Lancer.

definitely an OZ or something similar. I got mine 2 weeks after turning 16 and 3 weeks before I got a license. I only got my full license..hmm...3 weeks ago? And I haven't gotten into any acidents or near accidents in the year I've been driving it *knock on wood*. I think theres something about driving a car that u really like and appreciate having that makes you a more careful driver. I guess it depends on what kind of person your bro is tho.

Get him a beater if he's learning how to drive, and if he's lucky a Lancer......as for the EVO, YAAAAAA RIGHT.

MSRP $30,000 USD
Cost of Petitioning to get it into Canada: $1000 easily
Duty: % of the cars value
Custom fabrication of the front bumper: $$$$$ MAJOR Coin
Placement of the intercooler on the engine, since FMIC are illegal: Extremely Major $$$$$.....

Closest thing he'll get to an Evo up here is importing an Evolution 6 or 7 from the states or uk or japan and only using it for racing.

If he wants an AWD car just get him the NA Impreza WRX.....

But for an inexperienced driver, i'd say a beater....cavalier or something.

Better know how to drive manual transmission first before he can own an Evo. Come to think of it, its gonna be a hell of time before he can drive the Evo. And I bet if he gets the Evo, insurance will be so high for a first time driver.

Dude i putted around in a '93 taurus station wagon for a year and a half before i got my lancer. Tell your brother he needs a junker so he can wreck it and learn from the experience. Where is he gonna get 30k anyway?

271HP for the first car..
You wouldn't second to that if you love him...

For a teenager, 160HP for the first car is the limit.

I did a lot of stupid crap in cars with 1/4 the power of a evo when i was that young. i wouldn't even consider giving anyone under 18 at the bare minimum a evo.
