So here's the story.

I'm starting a job with www.wavecrestlabs.com soon, and I'll be working with the prototype developement team. I don't know how much I'm allowed to talk about for security reasons, but I'll try to be as clear as possible.

We will be developing a prototype for a completely electric demonstration vehicle. Not just any vehicle, there is a request in for a Prowler and 2 PT Cruisers. The Prowler is what I want to focus on for a second. The propulsion system generates a good amount of heat, and I'm trying to decide what would be a more suitable material for its housing... Carbon Fiber or Ceramic?

I know that cermaic will be able to handle extreme temperatures, but how is it and its heat dissipation compared to that of CF?

How much heat can CF take before it melts?

Some technical data and references would be GREATLY appreciated.

Oh, and by the way, the current estimate of output for the Prowler...

140hp.
