HID's

can you just buy HID lightbulbs for any headlights or do you have to have a certain headlight?

Unless you are talking about the cheap ebay type ones, you truly need the HID's with the ballasts and wiring and such to operate real HID bulbs.

If you are referring to whether you need projector housings or not, anything will work, stock or not.

there's a seller on ebay "nissangtrpower" with over 13k sales and %100 postive feedback, that's who i would buy a hid kit from.

figure out why the prices are different in each and choose what you want. mostly the same hid kits will be used for many different but similar cars.

don't let someone call a product cheap when they have less than 5 posts and don't even own the car which is in question. i have "cheap" $30 headlight bulbs (2) from e-bay, and they have been anything but cheap, the light (white/blue) looks better and shines brighter than stock

yeah but $150 doesn't necessarily qualify as a cheap *** mod. i just noticed that shipping in one is free and in the other is $40 which evens out the price so you're paying the same

Just because I choose not to post much does not mean I have no car knowledge. If you look at the yes 'cheap' bulbs that have the 'HID' look, the light output and visibility are better than stock although a real HID kit is FAR SUPERIOR.

He was asking if he can buy HID bulbs and use them in regular headlights. In which case you CAN'T unless you buy a kit.

i had HIDs on a previous car, and i just bought some "hyperwhites" from ebay, about 40 for a pair, damn near the same brightness, IMO HIDs are just like "high tech" hyperwhites...but then again, what do i know haha, good luck with ur choice.
