Value my 2002 Lancer OZ
I've compiled the list of upgrades and how much I spent on the part minus the labour. I need to know how much someone would pay for it here in Canada not in the U.S. even though it is a U.S. Car. I will be posting pictures as soon as I have the front end repainted from all the stone chips.

It's worth what a stock OZ is worth, maybe less. Unless you sell it to another tuner/kid, the mods you've done won't raise the value at all, in fact they probably lower it since it can be taken as a sign of abuse (why would someone put "go fast" mods on a car if they didn't go fast?).

The best option you have to make some of the money back is part it out if you have the stock parts, then sell it. So you have resale value, plus the parts. Or if you don't have the parts, you could find a kid/parent to buy it. The kid will think it has a bunch of nice parts/think it's quick and the parent will be happy buying their kid a 4 door that has a relatively low insurance rate. It's a win-win.

I hate to say it but it's true. I hear stories all day at school about how this person sold a Civic or Integra or a Miata or any car that was beat on, had massive problems, but the fact that it was a Honda, or had an aftermarket sound system were plus points in their sales. The common factor in all the stories was that it was going to be a kid's first car and his/her parents thought it was a good deal and the kid was just happy to be getting a car with a few mods. It happens all the time.
I wouldn't say don't tell them you are 16, I would just know what to look for if I were you. Always check for leaks or structural damage. If there are mods, ask where/who installed the mods. Things like that.

I hate to say you won't get much. When I traded my 02 Lancer in, I got $5400. That was with all the mods. I might have been able to get more, but I was happy with that price because it paid my car off, and I had a great down payment.

As was said. some things like header and such. your best to part out, get stock parts on and then sell it. mods dont add price to a vehicle unless its a complete showcar or something with top shelf parts kinda vehicle.

Even then it's still hard to sell for a high price. It's like that guy that wanted to sell his IX in the classifieds for 60k because it was all JDM'd out. It was nice, but no one wanted to buy it for the price.

Like many others already said, if u are planning on getting a new car you'll be better off if u part out and just bring your car back to stock and then trade it in for your new car or something like that
