i asked a dealer today and he was like its highly unlikely they wil accept cash esp in that amount just cause they need a bankers check. But cash is a legal form of payment they can`t refuse can they ?

Technically no since cash is legal tender but at the same time, they could add on a "counting fee" since we're not talking about a few hundred bucks, we're talking about thousands.

Dealers can take a personal check for that amount without a problem They will check credit before they take it. If you pay in actual cash they just have to report it to the IRS because its a $10k or over transaction. Nothing is done by the cstomer but they will report you to the IRS.

Check to a dealer is cash, they are the same thing....Go to the dealer, find the sales manger(not a salesman as they are just gonna ask the manager) tell him you want the bottem line price CASH OUT THE DOOR on this car...thats what i did when i got my last truck and he dropped 5k off the sticker price right there...

The more expensive the vehicle the bigger the discount they have. Domestic car have a bigger %of markup and Dealer holdback that can be passed on to a customer if they choose to. There is no $5k markup on a lancer even if its a $23k one.

I don't see why people in slower cars hate the SRT-4, sure it's not pretty and sure it has an econobox interior but so does the evo and so does the STI. if you want a fast FWD car for cheap, the SRT-4 is the way to go.

IMO FWD is the key term that garners all the hatred...

some people only see the chest and go crazy (srt owners), but some are more sensible and see past the obvious and see that the whole package is more important than one great aspect of a not so good package.
