Vertical door kits for 2008
I know they dont have a vertical door kit made for the 2008 yet. Dose anyone have any experiances in the universal door kits they have out? Anyone heard or experiance any problems with vertical door kits?

Where there is a will there is a way. In the end it all depends how much cash you want to drop. Anything can be done for the right price. Also keep in mind....anything that says "Univeral" will normally give you more headaches than what its worth.
Im going to recommend grabbing a fire extinguisher.... I think this may turn into a flame fest.
Just my $.02

This is the only warning. Any flaming posts after this will get points.
You don't have to like vertical doors. You can say that. But you better do it the right way and be nice.

Well i read over on supraforums.com that a guy thought they looked good and bought them for his supra. He said as far as a weekend car they would be great. But as a DD he didnt like them at all. Just because you have to open and close them a certain way. He also said he didnt feel comfortable with others riding with him closing the doors. If closed wrong you can damage it. You will also have to get it aligned every now and then. He had them on for 2 weeks, then took them off.

I think its an interesting thing to do, but I dont see it being well suited for a Lancer. That is just me though. Seems more like a 'show car' thing. Also, like others said -- risk. Id be nervous the door would fall off on me or something...then end up looking like David Spade in Blacksheep...

I cant stand vert doors personally. especially cheap ones. The cheaper kits dont go up all the way and wave in the wind. few guys at shows have to tie the doors up and use thing like towels to lodge in the fender to stop the wind from ripping it off.. If you have to do that.Whats the point?
