I did 19 INSURACE QUOTES!

anyone else leaving their lancer anytime soon or getting another car? by next summer i should be getting a different car to build up. i want a rwd or awd platform.

these are some of the cars i quoted on that reach my interest:

my 05 lancer
01 s2k
02 s2k
03 evo
05 rs evo
03 350z
94 supra
97 240sx
04 srt4
00 prelude
03 wrx
04 wrx
05 wrx
06 wrx
03 xterra
93 mr2
00 vette
03 vette
04 gto

my evaluation:

believe it or not the SRT 4 and the 03 corvette was cheaper than my lancer. i find it weird the 03 vette cheaper than the 00 vette the lexus IS 300 was the most expensive car too insure in my case. the lexus IS was 100 dollars more than the SRT. the s2k was only 10 dollars more than my lancer to insure.

that is weird that the vette was cheaper, probably b/c nothing but old men drive em lol. the IS300 is expensive prob. b/c the parts are expensive to replace if you get into an accident.

Try different companies, I've had quotes vary up to 70 a month on my evo between companies.

this also depends on record, place, age etc

im only 20 , so im sure insurance is pretty pricey. an 03 s2k is 166 a month full coverage for me..and thats 1 of the most expensive cars on the list for me to insure.

What?!?!?! only 166? Well I guess maybe the location matters but for full coverage on my Lancer in Phoenix its 150, it was going to be about 190 with a different company. I am almost 20 with no tickets or accidents! haha I guess we just cant drive here.
My buddy was going to get a S2k until he found out his insurance would be between 250-300 monthly...

Quote yourself a Legacy GT! For me it was $15/mo cheaper than the lancer...for a car twice the price! It's a very safe car though; plus, it's a "family" car cuz it's mid-size. I would love to have a Spec B though!

Are we talking per month? If so and you think that's bad... the Porsche C4 (what, roughly 80k car) is like 9 bucks a month more than the '03 Evo 8 was! Old men reducing costs FTW!

I think that's a safety thing as well. I think as the WRX went along, more and more features were added like more airbags and a built-in rollbar.
A legacy GT would be cool too, pretty fast for a sedan. A few guys in the local Subaru club have them and with an exhaust and a reflash they are certainly quick and definitely faster than my car.
