To make this easy. Guys that have PZEV will have a chassis code on the passenger side door plate(b pillar). If you have a 2M or a 3M in the code then you have non- PZEV. If you have a 7M in the chassis code then you DO HAVE PZEV. That should clear it up for you guys that do not want to get dirty checking!

OK, I want some help here. Obviously, I add things as they come to my mind. But anything you think should be added, please let me know. I want to make this Super FAQ good and important. And right now, it just has a little bit of good info.

What about known/reported problems? For example, the throttle body issues that led my 08 GTS going into limp mode

If there's any questions or things you suggest I add, please post up. There's so much info out there, I never know exactly what to include. I don't want it to be a distillation of the FSM, but I want to cover FAQs as best I can.

With the changes in the 09's, were you planning to incorporate into this (since it's the same gen), or have an entire new thread?

Parts Manuals? Have any of the OEM parts manuals become "openly" available yet for the various '08+ Lancers (i.e. Galant Fortis parts manuals, Lancer parts manuals, EvoX parts manuals, etc.)?

OK, sorry if this has been posted somewhere before, but I've been driving for over a year not knowing my car is a PZEV and now my whole world is turned upside-down because I actually checked today and found out it was. So now I have a couple of questions.
Obviously they sell PZEVs in states other than California (I'm in PA). Is CA the only state that requires that to pass smog regulations?
What exactly does it mean if you have a PZEV engine? I saw somewhere that the PZEV is detuned, and I know it's got the extra cat. Does that mean it can be converted so-to-speak into a federal spec engine (through tuning, cat removal, etc.)?
Sorry again if this is around somewhere, and if it is feel free to just point me to that. Thanks for the help too. I had always assumed since I'm not in CA or NJ I had a fed spec, so I never really payed attention to PZEV posts/threads, so I feel like I need to go back for all the basics.

Ok heres the deal I don't own a lancer...yet however I do plan on having it by mid summer/end of summer(as soon as I save up the down payment) now here is my question since I have not looked at the evo x or the gts closely I was wandering if the headlights on the evo would fit the gts or am I gonna have to wait till an aftermarket company releases projector headlights for the 09 gts
