2009 Lancer GTS 2.4L

The 2009 Lancer GTS has a 2.4L engine as opposed to the 2.0L in the 2008. Does anyone know if the performance parts (i.e., fujita intake) would also fit the this 2009 version?

Search around, there are other threads about this. Some parts fit, some dont. Road Race has a number of parts in development for the 09 GTS, they claim to be listing them on their website this coming week.

Yeah, i nocticed the catagory on RR for the 09' was empty. It makes sense that the engine parts for the 08' is n/a since the engine is different. But, it's just hard to believe that the CF parts and suspension wouldn't fit. I guess they need to specify which 08' parts would fit the 09'. I tried to check AutoCityimports, but I think their system might still be down. Anyway, thanks for the heads up, I'll look around the forums.

Very few companies have listed this info yet. Best to contact the company and get their official opinion.

Mitsubishi is partly to blame for this, the introduction of the 2.4 in the second year has caught everyone off guard. Although the upgrades will probably fit no problem. you have to ask the question are they properly tuned? that is the question, are you getting everything out of it!

Yes, I agree. It took me off guard as well. I will consult with fujita about their intake. Their product description specifies "2.0" so as you eluded, it hasn't been tested for the 2.4L. If the body frame and suspension is the same, then the megan coilovers should fit. I think most fitment problems will come with performance parts. But you're absolutely right, the best move is to consult with the companies directly.

ya as blacksheep said, ask the company directly, but my guess is you will get very nebulas answer. they will say it works, but no promises.

wait till summer more products are coming out

I just brought a 09 GTS for my daily drive and it's awesome! The navigation feature is great for my job which requires travel, the 6-spd larger 2.4L engine provides a quiet and smooth ride. The Dunlop P 5000 tires are really good. I haven't broke in the engine yet - waiting for 1000+ miles. It actually has a TPMS system as well. As for mods, I decided to wait patiently until the aftermarket companies are able to test and perfect parts for the 2.4L engine of the 09'. Thanks for the feedback guys!

not sure if you will be able to have that installed after the fact. its going to include xenons which may need a different ecu, rain sensing wipers which im sure require extensive wiring, and traction control which could also be a very involving installation. The "touring package" will probably be an additional 2 thousand dollars at least on top of the navigation and sun/sound packages.

I would say either wait to get the touring package with the car when you purchase it or just get one now and forget about adding all those other options later, i dunno... up to you

i'll probalby forget about it. i didn't think it would cost 2k. that's a nice amount i could just buy a set of xenons and who the heck needs rain sensing wipers. i thought it'd just be cool if it was like 800 or so.
